This textured and fun little pullover vest features owls and hearts, kisses and hugs surrounded by a field of seed stitches is in honor of the little owl that hoots to Fiona from his perch, high above her walking path.

Materials:
Two US 7(4.5 mm), two US 6(4 mm), one set (4 or 5) US 7(4.5 mm) and one set US 6(4 mm) double pointed needles or size to achieve gauge.
One cable stitch holder, 3 three stitch holders (or pieces of contrasting yarn), tapestry needle

Yarn: 8(12)oz aran wt wool (450/675yds). Bits of darker yarn for owl features.
Buy or spin plenty of yarn. (Doubled sport weight yarn will approximate aran weight.)
You may substitute worsted weight yarn and make a slightly smaller vest.

Gauge: 18 sts and 32 rows = 4"/10 cm seed stitch.
