Silk/Merino and Blue Faced Leicester Handspun Umbria Yarn

This is my newest colorway in both silk/merino and Blue Faced Leicester top. I spun two skeins worth before Stitches East and have one to show you here. There is more fiber to be spun and I can't wait to get at it. I created this colorway to pay homage to the beautiful and brilliant pottery that comes from the Tuscan region of Italy. Brilliant cobalt blue, sunny orange and a bit of lemon yellow make this delicious combination so exciting.

One skein is in stock but I will be spinning more.
3.6 ounces - 222 yards

Gauge: 5 stitches per inch; Needle 7 to 8 US suggested

Price: $13 per ounce.

Cashmerino Flage Handspun Yarn

'Flage is one of the newest colorways, featuring a new technique of glazed layering of color. It gives this yarn an incredible depth of shade. This is a match made in heaven. It is a 50/50 blend of cashmere and Ultrafine Merino. The softness is incredible and the cashmere brings the sheen and sparkle that is part of what makes it such a fabulous fiber.

Fiber: 50/50 Cashmere & Ultrafine Merino

Gauge: 4.5 to 5 stitches per inch; Needle size: 8 US

5 skeins were produced:
4.8 ounces- 226 yards
4.2 ounces- 226 yards

3.2 ounces 140 yards

Silk Merino Marie Antoinette Handspun Yarn
Ah, the time of the Sun King and the lavish silk dresses that looked like Petit Fours. This is what came to mind when this colorway evolved and so I named it after the naïve queen, Marie Antoinette.

Fiber: 50/50 Superfine Merino/ Cultivated silk

4 skeins remain of this pastel bijou.
4.4 ounce - 304 yards
3.2 ounce - 218 yards
2.4 ounce - 180 yards
2 ounce - 122 yards

Gauge 5 to 5.5 stitches per inch; Needle 7 or 8 US
Hand wash.
Price $19 per ounce
Email for availability.

Silk Merino Vera Cruz Handspun YarnWhen brilliant color becomes overshadowed by the sun, one could have the image of Vera Cruz. Even with the golden yellow, this is essentially a cool medium pastel colorway. Delicious in this fiber.

Fiber : 50/50 Superfine merino/ Cultivated silk

Gauge: 6 to 7 stitches per inch; Needles 4 to 5 US suggested

Three skeins were produced:
3 ounces - 204 yards
2.9 ounces - 190 yards

This is a small run of the most delicious and bouncy yarn from one of my favorite wools, that of the Blue Face Leicester sheep. It is a soft "longwool". This is Mardi Gras, which is also one of my favorite colorways. I spun it for the pleasure of seeing the color run through my fingers.

There are three handspun skeins in this offering:

1.2 ounces/74 yards $12
3 ounces/177 yards $30

Gauge is 4.5 to 5.5 stitches per inch (DK/worsted)
